What kind of driving license do I need to rent a scooter in Greece?
Greek law requires specific license categories depending on the engine size of the scooter:
50cc scooters:
EU Driving License: Categories B, AM, A1, or A2
International Driving Permit (IDP): Categories B, A, or A1
125cc scooters:
EU Driving License: Categories A1, A2, or A
(Must not include restriction codes such as 79.03, 79(3), 79.04, 79(4), or 79(2))
International Driving Permit: Categories A1 or A
200cc–300cc scooters:
EU Driving License: Category A (full motorcycle license only)
International Driving Permit: Category A, alongside your valid national motorcycle license
