Greek law requires specific license categories depending on the engine size of the scooter:

50cc scooters:
EU Driving License: Categories B, AM, A1, or A2

International Driving Permit (IDP): Categories B, A, or A1

125cc scooters:
EU Driving License: Categories A1, A2, or A
(Must not include restriction codes such as 79.03, 79(3), 79.04, 79(4), or 79(2))

International Driving Permit: Categories A1 or A

200cc–300cc scooters:
EU Driving License: Category A (full motorcycle license only)

International Driving Permit: Category A, alongside your valid national motorcycle license

Yes, scooters are generally easy to ride, especially since they are automatic and don’t require gear shifting. However, previous riding experience is important.

Even if you hold the correct license, we strongly discourage renting a scooter if you have little or no actual riding experience in your home country. For safety reasons, we recommend scooters only to those who feel confident and comfortable operating them.

Our basic insurance includes third-party liability, coverage for the rider, and assistance for passenger-related health needs.

In the event of an accident involving your scooter, you’re automatically insured for any damage caused to third parties.

However, damages to the rented scooter itself or personal injury to the rider are not covered under the basic policy. In such cases, travel or medical insurance you may already have typically provides additional protection.

The driver of the rented scooter must be at least 21 years old.

Yes, wearing a helmet is mandatory by law for all scooter riders and passengers in Greece.
